Syntho-Sphere is a virtual world inspired by the chat text generation model GPT-2 developed in the workshop "Within One Body Are Millions" led by Douglas Edric Stanley and Sabrina Calvo and research about the aesthetics of artificial landscapes.
The multimedia result of this project that mixes digital sculpting techniques in Z-Brush, modeling techniques in Cinema 4D, 3D digital painting processes in Substance Painter, and advanced phases of lighting and composition in Unreal Engine takes as reference the morphology of possible post-natures existing in our world and in space, the imaginary of robots and exoskeletons "Mecha", and the artistic and architectural installations and structures of the Light and Space movement led by the artist James Turrel.
Syntho-Sphere can be understood as the world after the convergence of natural and artificial forces on our planet in a post-apocalyptic context or a "dark nature" in which natural and artificial organisms are symbiotically connected.
